Moving On Up
Over the last 4 months SovTech has been working closely with South African based moving company MovingCompanies.co.za – our goal is to increase traffic and conversions on their website and get them onto the first page of Google in a very competitive online market.
Despite a limited budget the goals were laid out from the beginning and SovTech adopted a number of white hat SEO techniques to get where this South Africa moving company needs to be.
- Keyword strategy. We needed to look at general keywords such as: moving company, moving company South Africa and furniture removal. However, it was also important that we did not ignore a more localised and long-tail keyword strategy using phrases like cheap furniture removal Johannesburg and Moving Company Durban.
- Content Marketing. We adopted a content marketing strategy that focused on these keywords. The idea was to create easy to understand and use content that would help people in their moving experience and well as provide great SEO.
- Landing pages. SovTech created a number of localised landing pages that focused on key areas in South Africa this increased both the size of the website and the likelihood of people finding his moving company during their search
- Backlinking. We made sure MovingCompanies was listed in all the local directories as well as Search Engine business listing. This was done on a continuous basis.
- Onsite Audit and technical error fixing: SovTech regularly audits the movingcompanies website and fixes all technical errors. We need to ensure that search engine can index and crawl the website with ease.
- Social Media Platforms & Syndication: SovTech set up social media platforms and syndicates all content out via these avenues. Have a look for yourselves at some of the examples: Twitter, Google+,Pinterest, Linkedin
